Welcome to Ky Hydro Farm. We are located in the lakes region of beautiful western
Kentucky, a sixth generation family farm that dates back to the first recorded deeds of the
Jackson Purchase. We have evolved to be a farm of the future by offering our products fresh,
pesticide-free, all-natural, safe and healthy for your family.
Producing in a controlled environment greenhouse enables us to be unique in offering
locally-grown products on a year-round basis. By concentrating on sustainable farm practices
and utilization of green energy for our heat source, our products are produced in a safe and
environmentally-friendly manner.
Kentucky Hydro Farms of Benton, Kentucky in Marshall County offers off-season
tomatoes that are both good and fresh. They grow three varieties of hydroponic tomatoes
from November through June.
Kentucky Hydro Farms recently built new greenhouse space to double its capacity to
10,000 plants. Its goal is 40-50 pounds of tomatoes per plant per year. They use waste oil and
vegetable oil to heat the greenhouses in an effort to cut its costs and keep the price of its
products competitive.
Our Philosophy:
Controlled Environment Agriculture is a very efficient way of using natural resources
enabling for production of year-round fresh locally grown products.
About Ky Hydro Farm:
Our products are provided locally to restaurants, groceries, schools, and hospitals.
Also, our products are available at our retail market (Wyatts Farm Market).
Food Safety:
Ky Hydro Farm understands the importance of food safety, producing our products
inside a greenhouse following GAP (Good Agriculture Practices) enables us to offer clean and
safe products. Traditional field grown products are subject to contamination by birds, deer,
dogs, people and soil.
