Great taste for the greater good

Started in 2008 founder Wayne Shive took his hobby of tinkering in the kitchen to the
masses through the development of Best Boy and Company. Encouraged by friends to
bottle and sell his condiments, Wayne thought — “Why not?” With several successful
businesses under his belt, Wayne decided that his real passion was cooking, and that
this passion should be shared with others---not only through the all-natural premium
condiments but also with those less fortunate through the donation of 100% net
profits to charity. What started with a few sauces in his kitchen has expanded to
award winning lines of mustard, signature BBQ sauces and decadent dessert sauces.

In 2018, Wayne decided to retire but wanted to find an owner for Best Boy and
Company that would honor the brand’s quality in premium all-natural products and
also its charitable intent. Wayne found that in new owner, Kathy Pedrotti Hays. A
curious cook from a young age, Kathy is always expanding her culinary skills and
tastes and is honed in on the all-natural and local scene. As a professional,Kathy has
a career that has been dedicated to charitable giving, working in nonprofits as well as
consulting with them. Her interest in corporate social responsibility has been
recognized widely. Her goal is to grow the company’s reach with the intent of
extending Best Boy’s charitable giving.
